Paatasala is proudly associated with TANA to organize competitions in Telugu language. As part of our continuous efforts in keeping our Telugu language alive, we are looking for those kids who are taking our language to future generations. 2019 is an international year of Indigenous languages, On this occasion we are happy to announce that we are coming to different locations across USA to find the best of talent.
Participants are divided into two categories based on age group. Competition is organized at 2 levels ,Regional and National. Regional Level competitions are all written exams and are conducted at the center specified in the registration. Winners of the regional competition are invited to National level organized in VIRGINIA at TANA event.
REGIONAL COMPETITIONS
Telugu Paluku
- Age Group 6 – 10 are eligible
- 25 Telugu words to listen and write.
- Total 50 marks.
- Duration of 60 minutes.
- Top 5 Scorers will be going to next level of Semifinals at TANA conference, Washington D.C on 5 & 6 July 2019 .
- No negative marking.
Telugu velugu
- Age group 11 -15 are eligible
- 25 questions related to Telugu Language, Culture, Traditions, Places and Famous personalities.
- Duration of 60 minutes.
- Top 5 Scorers will be going to next level of Semifinals at TANA conference, Washington D.C on 5 & 6 July 2019 .
- No negative marking.
Prizes
- All Participants will receive Participation Certificates
- Winners will receive Certificate of Achievement & a Trophy
NATIONAL COMPETITIONS
- Winners of Telugu Paluku and Telugu Velugu in each city are qualified to participate in Semi Finals and then FInals in National level competitions being held on 5 July 2019 in Washington DC during 22nd TANA Conference in the convention center.
- Winners and their parents/ guardians shall travel to Washington DC on their cost and neither Paatasala nor TANA provides any travel or hosting facilities.
- In each city, we expect top 5 scorers will be attending Semi Finals by travelling to Washington DC. If by any reason, any participant is not attending to Semi Finals, we will invite next person in the list of top scorers.
- The Test standards will be increased little from Regional level to Semi Finals and Semi Finals to Finals.
- A Certificate, a trophy and a Gift card be presented to Semi Final Winners . Similarly a Certificate, a trophy and a Gift card be presented to Finals winners.
- Benefits from TANA Conference to participating Telugu Poteelu students/ parents shall be announced shortly.
